Vampire Elite Vampire Elite Series Volume 1 eBook Irina Argo

Rooted in Egyptian mythology, Irina Argo have created a perfect equilibrium for the vicious vampire kind; the Amiti. Originally created to be partners for the vampire's needs and cravings, they are now held captive for their blood. Between them all is the devastating power of the gods that both sides want.

Simone and Arianna were both strong, realistic and likeable heroines, and it's an emotional ride to follow them as they face off against their kinds that are bent on using them to their own needs. The world building was exquisite, and I found myself completely immersed in this hidden world within our own.

From beginning to end, 'Vampire Elite' is an elegantly woven tale with sexy and complex characters. This is a fresh and provocative take on vampires, filled with treachery and intrigue that will not disappoint fans of the genre.

Vampire Elite Vampire Elite Series Volume 1 eBook Irina Argo Reviews

Stunned. Blown away. That would be my immediate gut response to this read! Just total WOW...what a thrill ride!

I bow to Author Irina Argo and her talent within this book, Vampire Elite. I was intrigued by the teasers and blurbs about this book, and I do like a good vampire tale. That is why I bought this one, I only now wish I would not have waited so long to read it! I am always drawn into a story that is able to make an old tale feel brand new, this book does that and more!

Vampire Elite introduces us to a whole new sort of vampire theory, at least compared to many that I have read. The bulk of the tale centers around two immortal races, the Amiti and the Sekhmi. The Sekhmi or Vampire Elite has captured and caged members of the Amiti for a food source, called bloodstock. There is a struggle happening between the two races on many levels, the strongest of which is over power. Much of the story deals with two women, Simone and Arianna, and the struggles they face to survive in the war within these races. Through them we meet their families and friends, see some of the extended battle and how every decision made is somehow affecting another. We see how there is not always a clear cut right or wrong and how perception can change everything.

I think what I enjoyed most about this book is the way the characters came to life for me. I BECAME them! That, for me, is the first step to a great book. The imagery was captivating and real, and the emotion...oh my, the EMOTION!! Bravo to Irina Argo on that score! Gosh, I was scared and sympathetic for the bloodstock. I hated and loved King Tor. I hated and loved Simone. I cried for Arianna and a few other key characters. Man did I cry! I had to lay my kindle down on at least 3 separate points to grab the tissue box! The love is potent and key to this book. There ARE sex scenes, but I found them very well done . Never too much, they were fitting to the individual characters. That is part of what made it all more real for me. Some things in the plot-line are foreseeable and others switch track so fast it is hard to keep up, it is NOT boring! The editing was near perfect, I found nothing in that manner to distract from the reading.

I really loved this story and I am waiting anxiously for news of a second book....(please?!)
I have to be honest and say when I started reading this I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it. I found the beginning a little dry and as I read more I felt overloaded by the number of characters and their behaviours. The more I read though the more I found I had to keep reading and slowly I was hooked. The take on vampires and their 'food' is unique and thought-provoking.

The reaction of these two groups of beings to each other had me spellbound. Their incredible stupidity and the narrowness of their minds was emotionally overwhelming. Both parties are their own worst enemies and this is so true of human behaviour. It is the inability to see the bigger picture that has us do so much harm to our world, and this is what the author(s) show us so well.

I found myself so frustrated with some of the main characters as they went back and forward with behaviours that I wanted to yell stop. The treatment of Arianna particularly by Tor is pathetic. To not recognise love as a gift, something the elite are so guilty of even when the proof is in front of them, leaves us angry. We watch a twisted form of racism take place in front us and want to know where it will end?

If I can fault the book it would be only if the series is drawn out with the same people doing basically the same things. I could see this happening too easily because there are so many characters to keep track of but this in turn could effect the flow of the writing style, if events became repetitious. I sincerely doubt the author(s) will allow this to happen and I can't wait for the next book to come out.
The legend states that when Hathor the Goddess of Love & Beauty became enraged, she allowed her alter ego, Sekhmet the Destroyer to erupt unchained. It is during this rage and bloodlust that she created the first vampires. In her horror and to balance what she had done, she created the Amiti. She endowed the Amiti with the blood-bond, a mystical connection between an Amiti and a vampire.

"And so began the millennia long war between two immortal races originally designed to make each other whole." So what went wrong?

Wow ... who couldn't get pulled into that? This was a (bit long) story done very well. The characters were great and (although a lot of them) for the most part all well developed. I loved the mix of Egyptian lore, an Amity Queen, a Vampire King, a half Amiti/half Vampire Princess, immortals, royals and sexy vampires - whew, it was a non-stop engaging read.

Definitely recommend this one, but beware there's cliff-hangar...
